Eclipse 550 Specifications - Dimensions

Below are the Eclipse 550 specifications and dimensions. Almost all of the specifications are the same as the Total Eclipse version of the Eclipse 500. The only exceptions are with some of the new features of the Eclipse 550 that include auto throttles, anti-skid breaks, a radio altimeter and more. Most of the new features that the Eclipse 550 has are available as an upgrade for current Eclipse 500 jets.

Definitions for some of the abbreviations: ISA: International Standard Atmosphere, ft: Feet, M: meters & lb: pounds.

General Specifications:

  • Single Pilot certified.
  • 6 seats max, including pilot. Currently equipped with 5 seats from the factory, unknown if 6th seat is available.
  • Aircraft certified in the United States under: 14 CFR Part 23
  • Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) capable
  • Eclipse 550 aircraft have an aircraft life limit of 10,000 hours, 10,000 cycles, or 10 years. Aircraft life may be extended to 20,000 hours or 20,000 cycles if the aircraft is maintained in accordance with Eclipse FAA approved Service Bulletin SB 500-04-006.
  • Anti-Skid Brakes – Allows the stop the Eclipse 550 in 700 feet during landing, in many cases.
