In this article, our team and David Aughinbaugh II review the Bombardier Learjet 45 XR range and the range of the regular Learjet 45. The Learjet 45 XR was the last version of the jet released by Bombardier Aerospace. In 2013, the 45 was replaced by the Learjet 75 in Bombardier’s lineup.

Learjet 45 XR Range

The range for 45 XR version of the jet is 2,049 nautical miles (nm), 2,358 statute miles (sm) or 3,795 kilometers (km). With that range, the Learjet 45 XR of the can almost fly on transcontinental flights across the United States. To showcase the range of the light jet, below is a Learjet 45 XR range map.

Learjet 45 Range (Regular Version)

After performing research on the range for the original version of the jet, we have located a range of numbers for the range. The range of the jet can be from 1,423 nm to 1,968 nm. Some sites are listing the range at 2,099 nm. The original Learjet 45 can be upgraded to 45 XR status, so some of those jets can achieve the range of XR.

Range Profile – 45 XR

Some of the missions that the Learjet 45 XR can fly on include trips from San Francisco (SFO) to Atlanta (ATL), Orlando, FL (MCO) to Phoenix, AZ (PHX), and Teterboro (TEB) (New York area) to Denver (DEN). The range of the light jet is close to the transcontinental level; however, it can not fly on traditional transcontinental routes like New York to San Francisco or Los Angeles and Orlando to San Francisco.
