FlyRadius has access to Boeing 747-400 Freighters that can be chartered on a per-flight basis and for long-term contracts. Cargo capacity across aircraft and container ships is extremely limited at the start of the year. We can help to get your cargo on a Boeing 747 so that you can meet any deadlines that you may have.

We are actively working with several airlines to secure charters for our customers. As of February 2022, we have access to a Boeing 747-400F (full freighter with nose loading) for a long-term contract. We also have access to ad hoc charter capacity with several carriers.

Boeing 747-400F Information

There are several types of Boeing 747-400 Freighters that are being operated by airlines worldwide. A factory Boeing 747-400F, converted Boeing 747-400BCF, Boeing 747-400BDSF, and Boeing 747-400P2F are the main types available.

We have direct access to the Boeing 747-400F, Boeing 747-400BCF, and Boeing 747-400P2F jet.

Boeing 747-400BCF

The BCF version is the official Boeing approved passenger to cargo conversion that is accomplished by a maintenance facility. BCF stands for Boeing Converted Freighter. These jets were originally 747-400 passenger or 747-400M Combi (Combination Passenger and Cargo) aircraft.

A typical 747-400BCF can hold 650 cubic meters and 90 to 100 tons of cargo on most missions.
The maximum cargo capacity for a 747-400BCF is 710.7 and 118.82 tons; however, most flight operations have lower capacities.

Boeing 747-400P2F – Passenger to Cargo (Lite Conversion)

The Boeing 747-400P2F is a passenger 747 that has the seats removed and cargo restraints installed in the cabin. The interior of the aircraft remains the same and a cargo door is not installed. This means that the aircraft can not accept pallets on the main deck (upper deck). All cargo has to fit through the main doors. The lower deck can accept pallets and containers, however.

The cargo capacity is much less than a true cargo Boeing 747-400 like the 747-400F, -400BCF, and -400BDSF. Max cargo capacity for the P2F is can be up to 430 cubic meters and 91,561 kilograms or about 101 tons. In many configurations, the cargo capacity is much lower and we have seen 320 cubic meters and 60 tons as the capacity for the freighter.

Boeing 747-400F

The Boeing 747-400F is a factory-built Boeing 747-400 Freighter that was made to haul cargo. These -400s have a shorter upper deck than the passenger -400 jets. Most of the major cargo airlines that ordered the cargo jet directly from Boeing are the operators of the jet. The Boeing 747-8F replaced the -400F and is the current version that is built by Boeing.
