Boeing has selected Japan based Nabtesco as the primary flight control actuator systems partner / parts supplier for the Boeing 777X wide-body jet. Nabtesco is currently a partner on the Boeing 777 and is supplying actuators for the current 777 jet. Nabtesco is supplying four flight control surface actuators on the current 777. Under this new agreement Boeing has doubled the number of supplied systems to eight, which now includes spoilers, in comparison to the regular 777. The company has been working with Boeing for almost 40 years and Boeing is continuing the partnership with Nabtesco on the 777 program.

The following Japanese (Japan) based companies will also build airframe structures for the 777X, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fuji Heavy Industries, ShinMaywa and Nippi. Boeing announced the selection of these suppliers in June 2014 and they will build 21 percent of the Boeing 777X's airframe.
