easyJet, an European airline, has received its 250th aircraft from Airbus, an A320 equipped with Sharklets. The aircraft was delivered to easyJet at a ceremony at Airbus's location in Hamburg, Germany. The CEO of easyJet and CFM International President and CEO were present at the ceremony. Airbus was represented by their EVP of Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific operations. The Airbus A320 jet that the company received was painted in a special livery to commemorate the milestone. The livery includes the number "250" written with a pattern of small airplanes on the side of the aircraft. Under the cockpit windows "250 Airbus" is also painted on the aircraft. easyJet currently has the 4th largest A320 series fleet. The airline has a total of 158 jets on order with Airbus, making them the 3rd largest customer in terms of number of aircraft ordered. Airbus is saying they have delivered, on average, one aircraft every 16 days to easyJet since their first delivery in September of 2003. Their first Airbus aircraft delivered was an A319.
